Rooms we have made

Each of these started as an awkward garage, basement or outbuilding. The brief, the constraints, what we actually made, and what it cost.

The dual-mode room

The dual-mode room

A single garage bay asked to be a PGA-grade simulator and a family cinema without either feeling like a compromise.

Constraints
2.68m ceiling, uninsulated garage, a shared wall with a bedroom.
What we made
Full acoustic build-up, recessed floor rails, five seats that slide back rather than get stored, and a dual-aspect impact screen surround in stained ash.
Timeline
11 weeks
Price band
£70k – £95k

The Jungle room

The Jungle room

A set-build sensibility applied to a home cinema: a lost-temple interior that still behaves acoustically.

Constraints
Listed-adjacent property, everything reversible, nothing fixed to original fabric.
What we made
Carved timber columns, moulded stone-effect panels over acoustic backing, hidden speaker grilles in the foliage.
Timeline
9 weeks
Price band
£55k – £75k

The Western room

The Western room

A saloon-styled screening room for a client who premieres films for a living and wanted the set to stay up.

Constraints
Basement, low headroom, no natural ventilation.
What we made
Reclaimed-look boarding, bar joinery, batwing doors, tiered seating within 2.4m of head height.
Timeline
8 weeks
Price band
£50k – £70k

The members' lounge

The members' lounge

A club wanted a two-bay simulator lounge that earns money on a wet Tuesday in February.

Constraints
Commercial durability, six-hour daily use, licensed bar in the same room.
What we made
Two hitting bays, bar and back-bar joinery, banquette seating, hard-wearing panelling and a booking-friendly layout.
Timeline
14 weeks
Price band
£120k +
